The Sears Centre Arena is designed to accommodate a variety of events including concerts, family shows and sporting events. Seating geometry is designed in a "U" shape to maximize seating for end stage concert events while accommodating events that usually play "in the round" such as hockey or lacrosse. The seating capacity of the Sears Centre Arena in the hockey ice or lacrosse configuration can seat 9,700 spectators for all events. Between 1,500 and 2,000 portable chair seats on the event floor are available for end stage concerts. "Festival" style seating accommodates up to a total of 11,800 fans.

The seating capacity reflects the American's With Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and is applicable to all events and seating configurations. The flexibility in seating configurations offers an intimate setting and quality viewing for many types of events.
